First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Move victim to fresh air. Consult a doctor.

Symptoms: Corrosive. May cause sore throat and cough. May cause shortness of breath or respiratory distress.

Skin contact

Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water and wash with water. Remove all contaminated clothing immediately. In case of burns or irritation, consult a doctor.

Symptoms: Corrosive. May cause redness, pain and severe burns (blisters). May cause an allergic reaction. May cause dry skin.

Eye contact

Rinse with lukewarm water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses. Transport immediately to hospital.

Symptoms: Corrosive. May cause redness and severe pain. Tearing.

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth, give maximum one glass of water. Do not give milk. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Transport immediately to hospital.

Symptoms: Corrosive. May cause burning pain in throat and mouth. May cause nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea.

Immediate Medical Attention

Consult a doctor for inhalation, skin burns or irritation. Transport immediately to hospital for eye contact and ingestion.
