Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
De persoon in de frisse lucht brengen en ervoor zorgen dat deze gemakkelijk kan ademen. Bij twijfel of bij aanhoudende symptomen, een arts raadplegen.
Symptoms: Gevaar voor ernstige schade aan de gezondheid bij langdurige blootstelling door inademing.
De huid met overvloedig water wassen. Bij huidirritatie: een arts raadplegen. Verontreinigde kleding onmiddellijk uittrekken en wassen alvorens deze opnieuw te gebruiken.
Symptoms: Cement kan door aanhoudend contact een irriterende reactie op vochtige huid (door zweten of luchtvochtigheid) veroorzaken. Na herhaald contact kan het allergische letsels (dermatitis onder de vorm van eczeem) veroorzaken. Langdurig huidcontact met nat cement of betonspecie kan huidirritaties, dermatitis of ernstig huidletsel veroorzaken doordat zich dit ontwikkelt zonder beleving van pijn.
BIJ CONTACT MET DE OGEN: Voorzichtig afspoelen met water gedurende een aantal minuten; contactlenzen verwijderen, indien mogelijk; blijven spoelen. Een oogarts raadplegen.
Symptoms: Veroorzaakt ernstige oogirritatie.
GEEN braken opwekken. Indien de patiënt bij volle bewustzijn is, veel water laten drinken. Iemand die bewusteloos is nooit iets te drinken geven. Onmiddellijk een ANTIGIFCENTRUM/arts raadplegen.

Draag ondoordringbare, slijtvaste en alkalibestendige handschoenen, van binnen gevoerd met katoen (bijvoorbeeld CE-gemarkeerde katoenen handschoenen met nitril coating). Respecteer de maximum draagtijd bij handschoenen om huidproblemen te vermijden.

Draag een geschikt masker. Stofmasker voor bescherming tegen stof volgens norm EN 149.
Draag ondoordringbare, slijtvaste en alkalibestendige handschoenen, van binnen gevoerd met katoen (bijvoorbeeld CE-gemarkeerde katoenen handschoenen met nitril coating), laarzen en nauwsluitende, beschermende kleding met lange mouwen en gebruik huidverzorgingsproducten (met inbegrip van beschermende huidcrèmes) om de huid te beschermen bij langdurig contact met nat cement. Let goed op dat er geen (droog of nat) cement in de laarzen komt.
Voorkom lozing in het milieu. Vermijd directe lozing in de riolering.
