First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

In de frisse lucht brengen. Het slachtoffer warm en rustig houden. Onmiddellijk een arts of Vergiftigingen Informatie Centrum verwittigen.

Skin contact

Ingestion

Mond spoelen. Onmiddellijk een arts of Vergiftigingen Informatie Centrum verwittigen.

Immediate Medical Attention

Onmiddellijk een arts of Vergiftigingen Informatie Centrum verwittigen.

Medical Treatment

Symptomatisch behandelen.

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Enclosure and/or local exhaust ventilation.

Hands

Wear CE-marked nitrile rubber gloves (minimum 0.40 mm thick). Wash them if contaminated. Remove gloves if contaminated on the inside, damaged, or if external contamination cannot be removed. Always wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking, or using the toilet.

Eyes

Wear safety glasses according to EN166 (field of application 5 or equivalent).

Respiratory

Wear a mask with a dust filter (protection factor 4) according to European standard EN149FFP1 or with equivalent protection. Respiratory protection should only be used to control a residual risk during short-term activities, after all steps to limit exposure on site have been taken, such as enclosure and/or local exhaust ventilation. Always strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and maintenance of the respiratory device.

Skin/Body

Wear standard coveralls with Type 5 protective suit. Where possible, wear clothing in two layers: Under the protective suit, wear a polyester/cotton or cotton-only coverall. Have coveralls professionally cleaned regularly.
