First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Breng de persoon naar buiten en houd hem in de gaten.
Symptoms: Moeilijkheden tijdens de ademhaling of irritatie van de luchtwegen. Kan schade brengen aan de longen en irritatie en een branderig gevoel veroorzaken in de luchtwegen alsmede hoesten.
Spoel het blootgestelde gebied gedurende lange tijd, minstens 30 minuten, met water. Het kan nodig zijn om gedurende enkele uren te spoelen. Gebruik een comfortabele watertemperatuur (20-30 C). Neem contact op met Het Nationaal Vergiftigingen Informatie Centrum (NVIC)/arts/ziekenhuis voor verder advies over opvolging en behandeling. Verwijder verontreinigde kleding en schoenen. Huid, die in contact is geweest met het materiaal grondig wassen met water en zeep, eventueel huidreinigingsmiddel gebruiken. Gebruik GEEN oplosmiddelen of verdunners. Bij huidirritatie: een arts raadplegen.
Symptoms: Bijt in de huid. Huidirritatie.
Spoel de ogen direct uit met een ruime hoeveelheid water (20-30 C) tot de irritatie ophoudt en minstens 30 minuten. Verwijder eventuele contactlenzen. Spoel ook onder het bovenste en onderste ooglid. Bel meteen een arts. Raadpleeg onmiddellijk een arts en blijf spoelen tijdens het transport naar de arts.
Symptoms: Irreversibele beschadigingen aan de ogen.
Neem direct contact op met een arts. Geef het slachtoffer water te drinken als de persoon bij bewustzijn is. Probeer NIET het slachtoffer te laten braken, behalve als de arts dat adviseert. Laat het hoofd zakken zodat er geen braaksel terugloopt in mond of hals. Voorkom shock door het slachtoffer warm en rustig te houden. Geef kunstmatige ademhaling als de ademhaling stopt. Bij bewusteloosheid: breng het slachtoffer naar een aparte afgesloten ruimte. Bel een ambulance.
Immediate Medical Attention
Bij aanhoudende symptomen of twijfel over de toestand van het slachtoffer moet er een arts ingeschakeld worden. Bel meteen een arts bij oogcontact. Raadpleeg onmiddellijk een arts en blijf spoelen tijdens het transport naar de arts bij oogcontact. Neem direct contact op met een arts bij inslikken. Onmiddellijk een arts raadplegen na (mogelijke) blootstelling.
