Emergency First Aid Measures
Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies
๐ซ Inhalation Exposure
Take the victim out of the exposure area, place them in a comfortable half-sitting or lying position, provide calm and protect against heat loss. If needed, seek medical help.
Symptoms:
Following exposure to doses above permissible limits include: stimulation of breath, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, diarrhea, tachycardia, increased blood pressure, sweating, salivation, burning sensation in the mouth, throat and stomach.
๐๏ธ Skin Contact
If symptoms do occur wash off with soap and plenty of water. If needed, seek medical help.
Symptoms:
Can cause irritation, breathing problems, dizziness, cramps, nausea, vomiting. It can be absorbed through the skin. At sensitive individuals may experience an allergic reaction.
๐๏ธ Eye Contact
Rinse immediately with plenty of cool, running water and continue rinsing for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses. Do not use heavy streams of water to avoid cornea damage. If the irritation persists, consult an eye-doctor.
Symptoms:
Redness, tearing, mild irritation.
๐ฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing
If product is swallowed or gets in mouth, do NOT induce vomiting; wash mouth with water and give some water to drink. If symptoms develop, or if in doubt contact a Poisons Information Centre or a doctor.
Symptoms:
Nausea, vomiting. In extreme cases, after swallowing very large quantities of product, may appear breathing problems, dizziness, disorders of the respiratory tract.
๐จ Immediate Medical Attention Required
Physician decides regarding further medical treatment after thoroughly examination of the injured. Treat symptomatically.
