Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

๐Ÿซ Inhalation Exposure

Move to fresh air. In general, other measures are not necessary.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Skin Contact

Wash affected areas with plenty of water (and soap if possible). Consult a doctor if there is irritation.

Symptoms:

Major and persistent skin infection over several years can generate dysplastic changes. Existing skin problems may worsen following exposure to this product. Injuries may not appear serious at first but after a few hours, tissues may swell, discolour and be extremely painful and extensively necrotized subcutaneously.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Contact

Immediately hold eyes open and wash continuously for at least 15 minutes with clear water. Ensure complete irrigation of the eyes by keeping eyelids open and away from the eyes and by moving the eyelids, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Contact lenses should only be removed by a trained person.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing

If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, lean the patient forward or place them on their right side (head-down position if possible) to keep airways open and prevent aspiration. Monitor the patient carefully. Never give liquid to a person showing signs of drowsiness or with reduced consciousness; i.e. becoming unconscious. Give water to rinse the mouth then slowly provide liquid as much as the victim can comfortably absorb. Seek medical advice. Avoid giving milk or oil. Avoid giving alcohol.

๐Ÿšจ Immediate Medical Attention Required

Transport immediately to hospital or a doctor (for eye contact). Consult a doctor if there is irritation (for skin contact). Seek medical advice (for ingestion). Accidental high-pressure injection into the skin should be followed by possible incision, irrigation and/or debridement.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically. Accidental high-pressure injection into the skin should be followed by possible incision, irrigation and/or debridement.

Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

๐Ÿญ Engineering Controls

๐Ÿงค Hand Protection

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Protection

๐Ÿ˜ท Respiratory Protection

Facteur de protection: 10 x ES (Demi-masque respiratoire AB-AUS P2, Respirateur intgral - , Masque adduction d'air AB-PAPR-AUS P2), 50 x ES (Demi-masque respiratoire -, Respirateur intgral AB-AUS P2, Masque adduction d'air -), 100 x ES (Demi-masque respiratoire -, Respirateur intgral AB-2 P2, Masque adduction d'air AB-PAPR-2 P2 ^ - Intgral).
