We are looking for a certified Preventieadviseur to work alongside our sales and customer success team in Belgium. Not as a subcontractor on isolated engagements, but as the safety expert in the room: joining the prospect conversations where credibility decides the deal, running onboardings for new clients, and staying their trusted contact once they are live on the platform.

Our buyers are HSE and preventie people. They can tell within five minutes whether the person across the table has ever built a risk assessment for chemical agents. That is the gap you fill.

How this works

You work project based or on a retainer, and you invoice NextSDS for your time. We bring you into deals and onboardings in your region, in Dutch or French. If you already serve your own clients, you can bring the platform into those engagements and keep the relationship: we invoice the client for the platform, you invoice on top for your services.

About NextSDS

Companies that handle chemicals carry a heavy compliance load. Every chemical product comes with a Safety Data Sheet, and a typical company has thousands of them to keep accurate as regulations change. Most teams still manage this with spreadsheets and outside consultants, and many still fail audits.

NextSDS removes that burden. Clients send in their safety data sheets, and the platform organises them, keeps them current against REACH, CLP and the national frameworks that apply, flags restricted substances and regulatory changes, and produces the safety and risk documentation that used to be prepared by hand. We are a seed-stage company in Ghent, founded in 2024, backed by KBC Start it and imec.istart.

What you’ll do

• Join sales conversations as the technical voice: turn what an HSE team is struggling with into what the platform actually solves, and answer the compliance questions a salesperson cannot
• Help open doors. Spot the companies in your network and your region that carry a real chemical agents problem, and qualify what is worth pursuing
• Run onboardings for new clients: walk them through their SDS inventory, set up their structure, sanity-check the parsed data, and get their team working in the platform
• Stay with the account after go-live. Review risk assessments and safety instruction cards, advise on exposure limits, storage and safe handling, and keep them audit-ready
• Support clients on their obligations under the Welzijnswet, the Codex over het welzijn op het werk and the KB Chemische Agentia
• Feed the field back to product. What you keep running into decides what we build next

What we’re looking for

• A certified Preventieadviseur (niveau 1 or 2), ideally with proven experience in chemical agents
• Strong knowledge of Belgian workplace safety legislation (Welzijnswet, Codex over het welzijn op het werk, KB Chemische Agentia)
• Hands-on experience with REACH, CLP and SDS management
• Comfortable in front of a prospect or a new client team, explaining and reassuring, in Dutch and/or French
• Commercial instinct. You do not have to close deals, but you should enjoy being part of winning them
• Ability to work independently and manage several client engagements at once
• Useful here: an existing network among HSE and preventie contacts in Belgium
