Freelance Preventieadviseur

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Preventieadviseur with a focus on chemical agents (chemische agentia) to join our freelance network in Belgium. You’ll work directly with NextSDS clients to assess risks related to hazardous substances, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement safe handling practices.

What you’ll do

• Conduct risk assessments for chemical agents in the workplace
• Review and validate Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for compliance with CLP and REACH
• Advise on exposure limits, storage, and safe handling of hazardous substances
• Support clients with their obligations under the Welzijnswet, Codex, and the KB Chemische Agentia
• Collaborate with the NextSDS team to deliver data-driven safety insights

What we’re looking for

• A certified Preventieadviseur (level I or II) with proven experience in chemical agents
• Strong knowledge of Belgian workplace safety legislation (Welzijnswet, Codex over het welzijn op het werk, KB Chemische Agentia)
• Hands-on experience with REACH, CLP, and SDS management
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and/or French
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
