Freelance Preventiemedewerker

About the role

We’re looking for a certified Preventiemedewerker with a focus on chemical agents (chemische agentia) to join our freelance network in the Netherlands. You’ll support NextSDS clients with risk inventories for hazardous substances, compliance, and safe handling of chemical agents.

How this works

You bring the NextSDS platform into engagements with the clients you already serve, and we route inbound requests in your region to you. You hold the client relationship. We invoice the client for the platform; you invoice on top for your services.

About NextSDS

NextSDS is a Belgian SaaS platform that turns supplier-formatted Safety Data Sheets into structured data — parsing them, keeping them current against REACH, CLP and national frameworks, flagging restricted substances, and generating the documentation HSE teams used to prepare by hand. We are seed-stage, founded in 2024, backed by KBC Start it and imec.istart.

What you’ll do

• Conduct RI&E assessments specifically for chemical agents in the workplace
• Review and validate Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for CLP and REACH compliance
• Advise on occupational exposure limits (grenswaarden), storage, and safe handling
• Support clients with their obligations under the Arbowet and the Arbeidsomstandighedenbesluit (chemical agents)
• Use the NextSDS platform to handle safety instruction cards, regulatory tracking and risk-assessment drafts faster than you can by hand

What we’re looking for

• A certified Preventiemedewerker or higher safety professional (MVK/HVK)
• Strong knowledge of Dutch occupational safety legislation (Arbowet, Arbobesluit, chemical agents section)
• Hands-on experience with RI&E, REACH, CLP, and SDS management
• Comfortable writing risk assessments and safety instruction cards in Dutch
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements
