Die Auswahl eines geeigneten Handschuhs ist nicht nur vom Material, sondern auch von weiteren Qualitätsmerkmalen abhängig und von Hersteller zu Hersteller unterschiedlich. Da das Produkt eine Zubereitung aus mehreren Stoffen darstellt, ist die Beständigkeit von Handschuhmaterialen nicht vorausberechenbar und muß deshalb vor dem Einsatz überprüft werden. Die genaue Durchbruchzeit ist beim Schutzhandschuhhersteller zu erfahren und einzuhalten.
