First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove person to fresh air. Seek medical advice in case of discomfort. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration. If unconscious, place in the recovery position.

Skin contact

Wash the affected areas with soap and copious amounts of water. Seek medical advice in case of discomfort.

Eye contact

Immediately rinse the affected eyes with copious amounts of water, including under the eye lids, for at least five minutes. Seek medical advice.

Ingestion

Wash out mouth and drink copious amounts of water. Do not induce vomiting upon ingestion - seek medical advice.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use water mist, alcohol-resistant foam, powder or carbon dioxide.

Specific hazards

Vapours may form explosive mixtures with air.

Instructions

Cool sealed containers exposed to fire using water mist.

Firefighter Protection

In case of fire, use self-contained breathing apparatus. Use personal protective equipment.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Environmental

Do not allow to enter surface water or drains. Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil.

Handling

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety procedures. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Store packaging tightly sealed. Avoid breathing vapours and spray mist. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

Storage

Store in areas with solvent-resistant flooring. Store in original containers. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place. Store in a well-ventilated place. Protect from light. Peroxides are formed through reaction with air. The product is hygroscopic.

Hygiene

Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

Fire prevention

Flammable liquid. Vapours may form explosive mixtures with air. Vapours are heavier than air and can spread along the floor. Keep separate from ignition sources - Smoking is prohibited. Implement measures to prevent the accumulation of electrostatic charges.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Hands

Wear suitable protective gloves. Note the manufacturer's information concerning permeability, breakthrough time and specific workplace conditions. (mechanical wear, contact time). Replace protective gloves at first sign of wear. Material: butyl rubber, Breakthrough time: >= 8 hours, Glove thickness: 0.5mm. Material: fluororubber, Breakthrough time: >= 8 hours, Glove thickness: 0.4 mm.

Eyes

Wear eye protection in case of risk of direct contact or splashes.

Respiratory

Use suitable respiratory protection in case of inadequate ventilation. Recommended filter type: A

Skin/Body

Wear solvent-resistant protective clothing when necessary.

Environmental

Do not allow to enter surface water or drains. Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil. Inform the relevant authorities if the product contaminates watercourses and lakes or drains. Inform the local authorities if the material comes into contact with the ground.
