First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

If inhaled, remove to fresh air. In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

Skin contact

In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention immediately.

Eye contact

In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Get medical attention immediately.

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious).

Immediate Medical Attention

Get medical attention immediately.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

water spray (fog), foam or dry chemical

Firefighter Protection

Fire-fighters should wear proper protective equipment.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Immediately contact safety personnel.

Small spill

Rinse with plenty of running water.

Large spill

For large spills dike spilled material or otherwise contain material to ensure runoff does not reach a waterway. Place spilt material in an appropriate container for disposal.

Environmental

Avoid dispersal of spilt material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.

Cleanup methods

Rinse with plenty of running water. Place spilt material in an appropriate container for disposal.

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not breathe dust. After handling, always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water. Handle and open container with care.

Storage

Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep only in the original container. Store between 10 and 40°C.

Hygiene

After handling, always wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep airborne levels below recommended exposure limits. If user operations generate dust, fumes or mist, use ventilation to keep exposure to airborne contaminants below the exposure limit.

Hands

1 - 4 hours: butyl rubber, nitrile rubber (EN 374)

Eyes

Safety glasses. Goggles, face shield, or other full-face protection (EN 166)

Respiratory

A respirator is not needed under normal and intended conditions of product use (EN 143, 141)

Skin/Body

safety apron. Suitable protective footwear (EN 467)
