Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

๐Ÿซ Inhalation Exposure

IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell.

Symptoms:

Excessive inhalation of solvent vapours may give rise to nausea, headaches and dizziness.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Skin Contact

Remove contaminated clothing immediately and drench affected skin with plenty of water. Then wash with soap and water. Seek medical advice.

Symptoms:

Irritating to skin. May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Symptoms: redness and pain.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Contact

If substance has got into eyes, immediately wash out with plenty of water. Seek medical advice.

Symptoms:

May cause irritation. Symptoms: redness and pain.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing

If swallowed do not induce vomiting because of risk of aspiration into the lungs. If aspiration is suspected obtain immediate medical attention.

Symptoms:

After vomiting of swallowed product aspiration into lungs is likely. Solvents may induce chemical pneumonia. Symptoms: sore throat, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting.

๐Ÿšจ Immediate Medical Attention Required

If aspiration is suspected obtain immediate medical attention. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible). If symptoms persist always call a doctor.
