First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.

Skin contact

Rinse skin with water/shower. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms: May cause an allergic skin reaction. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.

Eye contact

Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms: Eye irritation.

Ingestion

Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Water spray. Dry powder. Foam. Carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable media

Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.

Specific hazards

Highly flammable liquid and vapour.

Instructions

Fight fire from safe distance and protected location. Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Contain the extinguishing fluids by bunding. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Firefighter Protection

Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Stop leak if safe to do so. Notify authorities if product enters sewers or public waters. Absorb spillage to prevent material damage. Ventilate spillage area. No open flames, no sparks, and no smoking. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Evacuate unnecessary personnel.

Environmental

Avoid release to the environment. Do not allow to enter drains or water courses.

Cleanup methods

Take up liquid spill into absorbent material.

Materials: absorbent material

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Ground/bond container and receiving equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Flammable vapours may accumulate in the container. Use explosion-proof equipment. Wear personal protective equipment. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Storage

Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Keep container tightly closed. Store locked up.

Hygiene

Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Always wash hands after handling the product.

Fire prevention

Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Ground/bond container and receiving equipment. Use only non-sparking tools. Take precautionary measures against static discharge.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Ensure good ventilation of the work station.

Hands

Please follow the instructions related to the permeability and the penetration time provided by the manufacturer. Choosing the proper glove is a decision that depends not only on the type of material, but also on other quality features, which differ for each manufacturer

Eyes

Protective goggles (EN 166)

Respiratory

In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment

Skin/Body

Wear suitable protective clothing

Environmental

Avoid release to the environment.
