First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Supply fresh air; consult doctor in case of complaints.

Skin contact

Generally the product does not irritate the skin.

Eye contact

Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

Ingestion

Drink plenty of water and provide fresh air. Call for a doctor immediately.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.

Specific hazards

During heating or in case of fire poisonous gases are produced.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases. Mouth respiratory protective device.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Ensure adequate ventilation. Mount respiratory protective device. Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Keep away from ignition sources.

Environmental

Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.

Cleanup methods

Dispose contaminated material as waste according to item 13.

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Keep away from heat and direct sunlight. Ensure good interior ventilation, especially at floor level. (Fumes are heavier than air). Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace.

Storage

Observe official regulations on storing packagings with pressurised containers. Keep container tightly sealed.

Fire prevention

Do not spray onto a naked flame or any incandescent material. Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

No further data; see item 7.

Hands

Protective gloves. Material of gloves: Butyl rubber, BR. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Penetration time of glove material: Butyl rubber gloves with a thickness of 0.4 mm are resistant to: Acetone: 480 min, Butyl acetate: 60 min, Ethyl acetate: 170 min, Xylene: 42 min. Butyl rubber gloves with a thickness of 0.4 mm are solvent resistant for 42-480 minutes. As protective measure, we recommend that users and responsible persons for work safety assume solvent resistance length of 42 minutes. Considering the data in section 3 of this SDS, one can assume longer resistance length in particular cases.

Eyes

Tightly sealed goggles

Respiratory

In case of brief exposure or low pollution use respiratory filter device. In case of intensive or longer exposure use self-contained respiratory protective device. Filter A2/P3

Skin/Body

Light weight protective clothing
