First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, oxygen should be administered by qualified personnel. Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

Skin contact

Immediately flush skin with plenty of water (using soap, if available). Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Thoroughly clean shoes before reuse. Discard any shoes or clothing items that cannot be decontaminated.

Eye contact

Check for and remove any contact lenses. Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.

Ingestion

If material is ingested, immediately contact a physician or poison control center. If vomiting occurs, prevent aspiration by keeping the patient's head below the knees. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Immediate Medical Attention
