04

First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If symptoms develop and persist, get medical attention.

Skin contact

No attempt should be made to remove material from skin or to remove contaminated clothing as damaged skin can be easily torn. Cool melted product on skin with plenty of water. Do not remove solidified product. Get immediate medical attention.

Eye contact

If eye contact occurs with molten material immediately cool with water. Do not remove adhesive. Seek medical attention.

Ingestion

Ingestion of solid adhesive is not expected to be hazardous. If symptoms develop and persist, get medical attention.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use media appropriate for surrounding material.

Unsuitable media

Not available.

Specific hazards

In the event of a fire, carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) can be released.

Instructions

Keep unnecessary personnel away.

Firefighter Protection

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing, such as turn-out gear.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

Use personal protection recommended in Section 8, isolate the hazard area and deny entry to unnecessary and unprotected personnel.

Environmental

No special environmental precautions required. Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system.

Cleanup methods

Spilled material will solidify. Scrape up spilled material and place in a closed container for disposal.
