First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Skin contact

Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or use recognised skin cleanser.

Eye contact

Irrigate copiously with clean, fresh water for at least 10 minutes, holding the eyelids apart. Remove contact lenses.

Ingestion

Keep at rest. Do NOT induce vomiting.

Immediate Medical Attention

If accidentally swallowed obtain immediate medical attention! Seek medical advice (for eye contact).

Barrier creams may help to protect the exposed areas of the skin, they should however not be applied once exposure has occurred. For prolonged or repeated contact use protective gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/ the preparation/ the chemical mixture. Selection of the glove material) on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation. Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
