First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Move the patient to the air circulation place. If there is a scant of breath, provide oxygen. Pay attention to the patient to rest and maintain warmth. Deliver the medicine immediately.

Symptoms: Cough, the scant of breath, the sore throat, consciousness unclear. The high potency produces under the vapor will cause the respiratory tract to have slight pricking.

Skin contact

Immediately flush body and clothing with massive clear water. Take off the pollution clothes and the shoe, clean the body exposition spot with soap and clear water. Deliver the medicine as fast as possible and ask medical care personnel to continue to look after the patient.

Symptoms: Skin inflammation, skin stabbing pain and once burnt; long time exposure will cause second burn.

Eye contact

Open the eyelid immediately, flush for 15 minutes continually with clear water. Deliver medical handling as fast as possible. If eyes wear contact lenses, they should be taken down immediately.

Symptoms: The high potency produces under the vapor will cause the eye to have slight pricking.

Ingestion

If the patient is conscious, give milk or water and deliver the medicine as fast as possible. Rinse mouth with massive clear water; do not induce vomiting.

Symptoms: Burns, consciousness unclear.

Immediate Medical Attention

As fast as possible deliver the medicine.

Medical Treatment

When necessary, use vasopressor and antiarrhythmic to remedy. Observe the patient's breathing; when necessary, use treatments like a respirator, intubation, and intravenous injection. Ingestion may involve using gastric lavage, activated carbon, and vegetable rapeseed oil to slow down human body absorption.

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use ethyl alcohol froth, chemistry dried powder, carbon dioxide, dry sand, and water spray to control fire intensity. Spray water mist to cool storage tanks or vessels.

Unsuitable media

Cannot use water spray directly on the material itself.

Specific hazards

When pyrolysis, will discharge the pungent smog and the irritant poison gas.

Instructions

Retreat and extinguish the fire from a safe distance or protected area. Place at upwind position to avoid hazardous vapor and irritant resolvent. Avoid heating of reservoir vessels. Under safe conditions, move reservoir vessels away from the fire hazard.

Firefighter Protection

Fire fighters must wear class B chemical-resistant protective outfits and air respirators (When necessity in addition anti-dodges the fire aluminum nature to throw over the duplicate coat).

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Emergency procedures

1. Restrict personnel from entering the leaking area until completely cleaned. 2. Make sure that only trained personnel are allowed to clean up. 3. Wear appropriate personal protection equipment.

Environmental

Reports the government safety and health and the environmental protection unit concerned.

Cleanup methods

May using lime (CaO), the limestone (CaCO3) or the sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) carries on the sum

Materials: lime (CaO), the limestone (CaCO3) or the sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3)

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Uses the stainless steel, the metal and the revertex system vessel elected. Avoids with the oxidant contact. The vessel maintains airtight.

Storage

Suggestion storage in initial vessel. Stores up decides elected dry, cool and ventilates the good place. Is far away from the oxidized substance. The reservoir vessel avoids receiving the physical property destruction. Is far away from the heat source and the sunlight perpendicular incidence. Storage in corrosion resistance and in anti-spoiled lining's vessel.

Fire prevention

Is far away from the heat source.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

1. The working environment should have the partial exhaust and the vent 2. If in the working environment presents the smog, must use the breath preventer 3. The warehouse or the airtight space must provide enough ventilation

Hands

Wearing Chlorbutene rubber · Nitrate material quality Leak-proof gloves and so on

Eyes

1. Safety glasses 2. Chemical safety goggles.

Respiratory

The air feed type breathes against equipment maintenance or the air respirator (self-contained breathing apparatus)

Skin/Body

Above-mentioned whole-body protective outfit · work boots and urgent flusher
