First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing.

Skin contact

Wash skin with plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms: May cause an allergic skin reaction.

Eye contact

Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms: Eye irritation.

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting. Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell.

Symptoms: May result in aspiration into the lungs, causing chemical pneumonia.

Medical Treatment

Treat symptomatically.
