First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm. Consult doctor if symptoms persist. In case of unconsciousness, place patients on their side in a stable position for transportation.
Symptoms: Sensory irritation
Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Seek immediate medical advice.
Rinse the eyes with open eyelids for 10 - 15 minutes with water. Then consult a doctor (eye specialist).
Rinse mouth with water. Drink plenty of water, but never give anything to an unconscious person. Do not induce vomiting without a physician. If vomiting occurs spontaneously: Hold the head of the vomiting person low with the body in a prone position in order to avoid aspiration. Call a doctor immediately.
Symptoms: Central nervous system depression, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Unconsciousness, Damage of kidneys, Damaged liver
Immediate Medical Attention
Consult doctor if symptoms persist (inhalation); Seek immediate medical advice (skin); Consult a doctor (eye specialist); Call a doctor immediately (ingestion).
Medical Treatment
Symptomatic treatment (decontamination, vital functions)
Firefighting Measures
Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection
CO2, extinguishing powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam. Use fire fighting measures that suit the environment.
High volume water jet
In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO₂). In traces: Formaldehyde, Hydrogen, Methane.
Immediately cool neighbouring packages and containers with sprayed water and, if possible, remove them out of the danger zone.
Firefighter Protection
Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Wear a fully protective suit.
Accidental Release Measures
Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any water course. Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil.
Absorb with liquid-binding material
Materials: sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust

Handling and Storage
Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements
Ensure good interior ventilation, especially at floor level (Fumes are heavier than air.). Do not breathe aerosol or vapors. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Restrict the quantity stored at the work place. Keep the working area dry and clean. Keep receptacles tightly sealed.
Restrict the quantity stored at the work place. Keep receptacles tightly sealed.
Keep the working area dry and clean.
Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection.
Exposure Controls / PPE
Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment
e.g. retention and/or local exhaust
Chemical resistant gloves (EN 374). To avoid skin problems reduce the wearing of gloves to the required minimum. Check protective gloves prior to each use for their proper condition. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/substance/preparation. Preventive skin protection by use of skin-protecting agents is recommended. Material of gloves: Nitrile rubber, NBR; Butyl rubber, BR; Fluorocarbon rubber (FKM); Polychloroprene rubber (CR). The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Penetration time of glove material: The exact penetration time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
Tightly sealed goggles
In case of unintentional release of substance, exceeding the occupational exposure limit value: Short term filter device: Filter A (colour code: brown), Filter A-P2, A-P3. Breathing equipment is only to be used in order to handle the residual risk of short term jobs if all other risk minimizing measures have been carried out e.g. retention and/or local exhaust.
