Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Engineering controls are covered in section 7; no additional measures are necessary.

Hands

Appropriate materials: NBR (Nitrile rubber), PVC (Polyvinyl chloride), CR (polychloroprenes, chloroprene rubber). Glove material thickness: 0.4 mm. Penetration time: 480 min. The model of chemical-resistant gloves must be chosen based on the concentrations and quantities of specific chemicals at the workstation. It is advisable to ask the manufacturer for details regarding the chemical resistance of the aforementioned protective gloves for specific applications. Wear approved protective gloves: EN ISO 374. If gloves are to be reused, clean them before removal and store them in a well-ventilated area. Consider perforation resistance times and swelling characteristics of the material.

Eyes

When transferring liquids: Glasses with side protection. Wear eye/face protection device. EN 166.

Respiratory

In principle, no personal respiratory protection is needed.

Skin/Body

Appropriate body protection: Protective clothing. If gloves are to be reused, clean them before removal and store them in a well-ventilated area. Consider perforation resistance times and swelling characteristics of the material.

Environmental

Environmental exposure controls are covered in section 7; no additional measures are necessary.
