Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Breng in frisse lucht. Indien de symptomen aanhouden, een arts raadplegen.
Brandwonden moeten normaal behandeld worden nadat de lijm verwijderd werd van de huid. De verlijmde huid niet van elkaar trekken. U kan ze voorzichtig losmaken met een stomp voorwerp zoals een lepel, bij voorkeur na weken in een warm sopje.
Symptoms: Langdurig of herhaald contact met de huid kan leiden tot huidirritatie.
Als het oog dichtgekleefd zit kan u de wimpers losmaken met warm water door ze met een vochtig wattenschijfje te deppen. Houd het oog bedekt tot de lijm loskomt, meestal binnen 1 tot 3 dagen.
Symptoms: Het oog kan dichtgekleefd zitten door cyanoacrylaat, wat een traanreactie veroorzaakt.
Zorg dat de ademhalingswegen vrij zijn. Het product polymeriseert onmiddellijk in de mond, waardoor slikken haast onmogelijk wordt. Speeksel maakt het verharde product los van de mond (na verschillende uren).

Zorg voor een voldoende ventilatie.
Chemicaliebestendige veiligheidshandschoenen (EN 374). Geschikte materialen bij kort contact resp. spatten (geadviseerd: ten minste beschermindex 2, overeenstemmend met > 30 minuten permeatietijd volgens EN 374): Nitrilrubber (NBR; >= 0,4 mm laagdikte). Geschikte materialen ook bij langer, direct contact (geadviseerd: beschermindex 6, overeenstemmend met > 480 minuten permeatietijd volgens EN 374): Nitrilrubber (NBR; >= 0,4 mm laagdikte). Bij slijtageverschijnsels moet de handschoen worden vervangen. Bij het gebruik van grote hoeveelheiden raden wij polyethyleen of polypropyleen handschoenen aan. Gebruik geen PVC, rubber of nylon handschoenen.
Veiligheidsbril met zijdelingse bescherming moet gedragen worden als er een kans bestaat op spatten. Oogbeschermingsmiddelen moeten conform zijn met EN 166.
Een goedgekeurd masker of ademhalingstoestel met een patroon voor organische dampen moet gedragen worden als het product gebruikt wordt in een slecht verluchte ruimte. Filter type : A (EN 14387)
Draag geschikte beschermende kleding. Beschermende kledij moet conform zijn met EN 14605 voor vloeibare spatten en met EN 13982 voor stof.
