Technische maatregelen en geschikte werkprocedures zouden prioriteit moeten hebben boven het gebruik van persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen. Zie paragraaf 7.1.
Voor volledig contact: Handschoenenmateriaal Viton (R), Handschoendikte: 0,7 mm, Doorbraaktijd: > 480 min. Voor spat contact: Handschoenenmateriaal butylrubber, Handschoendikte: 0,7 mm, Doorbraaktijd: > 120 min. De te gebruiken beschermende handschoenen moeten voldoen aan de specificaties van EG regeling 89/686/EEG en de daaruit voortkomende norm EN374, bij voorbeeld KCL 890 Vitoject® (volledig contact), KCL 898 Butoject® (spat contact). De bovengenoemde doorbraaktijden werden met materiaalproeven van de aanbevolen handschoenen door KCL in laboratoriummetingen vlgs. EN374 onderzocht. Deze aanbeveling heeft alleen betrekking op het in het veiligheidsinformatieblad genoemde product, voor de door ons aangegeven toepassingen. Wanneer het middel wordt opgelost in, of vermengd met andere substanties, onder andere condities dan vermeld in EN374 neemt u dan svp contact op met de leverancier van de CE-goedgekeurde handschoenen (b.v. KCL GmbH, D-36124 Eichenzell, Internet: www.kcl.de).
