Technische maatregelen en geschikte werkprocedures zouden prioriteit moeten hebben boven het gebruik van persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen.
Voor volledig contact en spatcontact: Handschoenenmateriaal: Nitrilrubber, Handschoendikte: 0,11 mm, Penetratietijd: > 480 min. De te gebruiken beschermende handschoenen moeten voldoen aan de specificaties van EG regeling 89/686/EEG en de daaruit voortkomende norm EN374, bij voorbeeld KCL 741 Dermatril L.

Nodig indien stofvorming plaatsvindt. Aanbevolen filtertype: Filter P 1 (volgens DIN 3181) voor vaste deeltjes van inerte stoffen. De ondernemer moet er voor zorgen dat onderhoud, reiniging en beproeving van adembeschermingstoestellen worden uitgevoerd volgens de voorschriften van de leverancier. Deze maatregelen moeten uitvoerig zijn gedocumenterd.
Het soort lichaamsbescherming moet al naargelang van de concentratie en de hoeveelheid gevaarlijke stoffen op de werkplek gekozen worden. De chemische weerstand van de bescherming moet met de leverancier geregeld worden.
