Technische maatregelen en geschikte werkprocedures zouden prioriteit moeten hebben boven het gebruik van persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen. Zie paragraaf 7.1.
Voor volledig contact: Nitrilrubber handschoenen, dikte 0,40 mm, penetratietijd > 480 min. Voor spatcontact: Polychloropreen handschoenen, dikte 0,65 mm, penetratietijd > 120 min. De te gebruiken beschermende handschoenen moeten voldoen aan de specificaties van EG regeling 89/686/EEG en de daaruit voortkomende norm EN374, bij voorbeeld KCL 730 Camatril -Velours (volledig contact), KCL 720 Camapren (spat contact). De aanbeveling heeft alleen betrekking op het in het veiligheidsinformatieblad genoemde product, voor de door ons aangegeven toepassingen. Wanneer het middel wordt opgelost in, of vermengd met andere substanties, onder andere condities dan vermeld in EN374, dient contact opgenomen te worden met de leverancier van de CE-goedgekeurde handschoenen (b.v. KCL GmbH, D-36124 Eichenzell, Internet: www.kcl.de).
Veiligheidsbril
Nodig indien dampen/aerosolen gevormd worden. Aanbevolen filtertype: Filter A (volgens DIN 3181) voor dampen van organische verbindingen. De ondernemer moet er voor zorgen dat onderhoud, reiniging en beproeving van adembeschermingstoestellen worden uitgevoerd volgens de voorschriften van de leverancier. Deze maatregelen moeten uitvoerig zijn gedocumenteerd.
Vlamvertragende, antistatische beschermingskleding. Het soort lichaamsbescherming moet al naargelang van de concentratie en de hoeveelheid gevaarlijke stoffen op de werkplek gekozen worden. De chemische weerstand van de bescherming moet met de leverancier geregeld worden.
