Technische maatregelen en geschikte werkprocedures zouden prioriteit moeten hebben boven het gebruik van persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen. De veiligheidsinformatiebladen van de catalogusartikelen staan ter beschikking op www.merckgroup.com. Zie paragraaf 7.1.
Voor volledig contact en spatcontact: Handschoenenmateriaal: Nitrilrubber, Handschoendikte: 0,11 mm, Doorbraaktijd: > 480 min. De te gebruiken beschermende handschoenen moeten voldoen aan de specificaties van EG regeling 89/686/EEG en de daaruit voortkomende norm EN374, bijvoorbeeld KCL 741 Dermatril L. De bovengenoemde doorbraaktijden werden met materiaalproeven van de aanbevolen handschoenen door KCL in laboratoriummetingen volgens EN374 onderzocht. Deze aanbeveling heeft alleen betrekking op het in het veiligheidsinformatieblad genoemde product, voor de door ons aangegeven toepassingen. Bij oplossen of vermengen met andere substanties onder andere condities dan vermeld in EN374, contact opnemen met de leverancier van de CE-goedgekeurde handschoenen (b.v. KCL GmbH, D-36124 Eichenzell, Internet: www.kcl.de).
Nauw aansluitende veiligheidsstofbril.
Nodig indien stofvorming plaatsvindt. Aanbevolen filtertype: Filter P 2 (volgens DIN 3181) voor vaste en vloeibare deeltjes van schadelijke stoffen. De ondernemer moet er voor zorgen dat onderhoud, reiniging en beproeving van adembeschermingstoestellen worden uitgevoerd volgens de voorschriften van de leverancier. Deze maatregelen moeten uitvoerig zijn gedocumenterd.
