Technische maatregelen en geschikte werkprocedures zouden prioriteit moeten hebben boven het gebruik van persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen. Zie paragraaf 7.1.
Voor volledig contact: Handschoenenmateriaal: Nitrilrubber, Handschoendikte: 0,11 mm, Penetratietijd: > 480 min. Voor spatcontact: Handschoenenmateriaal: Natuurlijk latex, Handschoendikte: 0,6 mm, Penetratietijd: > 120 min. De te gebruiken beschermende handschoenen moeten voldoen aan de specificaties van EG regeling 89/686/EEG en de daaruit voortkomende norm EN374, bijvoorbeeld KCL 741 Dermatril L (volledig contact), KCL 706 Lapren (spat contact). De bovengenoemde doorbraaktijden werden met materiaalproeven van de aanbevolen handschoenen door KCL in laboratoriummetingen volgens EN374 onderzocht. Deze aanbeveling heeft alleen betrekking op het in het veiligheidsinformatieblad genoemde product, voor de door ons aangegeven toepassingen. Wanneer het middel wordt opgelost in, of vermengd met andere substanties, onder andere condities dan vermeld in EN374, neem dan contact op met de leverancier van de CE-goedgekeurde handschoenen (bijvoorbeeld KCL GmbH, D-36124 Eichenzell, Internet: www.kcl.de).
Nauw aansluitende veiligheidsstofbril.
Nodig indien dampen/aerosolen gevormd worden. Aanbevolen filtertype: Filter E-(P2). De ondernemer moet ervoor zorgen dat onderhoud, reiniging en beproeving van adembeschermingstoestellen worden uitgevoerd volgens de voorschriften van de leverancier. Deze maatregelen moeten uitvoerig zijn gedocumenteerd.
