Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

Hand Protection

Wear suitable gloves. Gloves tested according to EN 374 for chemical resistance are suitable. Determine leak-tightness/impermeability before use. It is recommended to check the chemical resistance of the mentioned safety gloves with the glove supplier for special applications. The times are estimated values from measurements at 22°C and permanent contact. Increased temperatures due to heated substances, body heat, etc., and a reduction in effective layer thickness due to stretching can lead to a significant shortening of the breakthrough time. In case of doubt, contact the manufacturer. With approximately 1.5 times greater/smaller layer thickness, the respective breakthrough time is doubled/halved. The data only applies to the pure substance. When transferred to mixtures of substances, they should only be considered as a guideline. Material type: Butyl rubber, Material thickness: 0.7mm, Breakthrough time: >480 minutes (permeation level: 6).

Eye Protection

Safety glasses with side protection should be worn.

Respiratory Protection

Respiratory protection is necessary in case of aerosol or mist formation. Type: A (against organic gases and vapors with a boiling point > 65°C, color code: brown).

Skin/Body Protection

Flame-resistant protective clothing.

Environmental Exposure Controls

Prevent the product from entering drains, surface water, or groundwater.
