First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Move to fresh air. Keep the resting victim in a semi-sitting position.

Symptoms: Cough. Shortness of breath.

Skin contact

Immediately rinse contaminated clothing and skin with plenty of water and only then remove clothing. Wash with plenty of water.

Symptoms: Redness, pain. Burns.

Eye contact

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes; remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do; continue rinsing. Immediately consult an ophthalmologist.

Symptoms: Redness, pain. Burns. Blurred vision.

Ingestion

Rinse mouth. DO NOT induce vomiting. Transport to hospital.

Symptoms: Ingestion can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Gastrointestinal complaints.

Immediate Medical Attention

Immediately consult an ophthalmologist (for eye contact). Transport to hospital (for ingestion).

Medical Treatment

Symptomatic treatment.
