Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

๐Ÿซ Inhalation Exposure

Let the affected person breathe fresh air. Let the victim rest. Artificial respiration may be necessary. Call emergency services (112), hospitalization is recommended. Show the label or packaging.

Symptoms:

High vapor concentrations can lead to: headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea and vomiting.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Skin Contact

Rinse the skin abundantly with water or take a shower for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Consult a doctor immediately. If possible, show this safety data sheet (SDS). If not possible, show the packaging or label.

Symptoms:

May cause skin irritation.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Contact

Rinse thoroughly with running water for at least 15 minutes while keeping the eyes open. Rinse abundantly with water for 10 minutes. Rinse AWAY from the affected eye. For contact lenses: if easy to remove, remove the lenses first and then rinse. Seek medical help. If possible, show this safety data sheet (SDS). If not possible, show the packaging or label.

Symptoms:

May cause eye irritation (redness, pain).

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing

Rinse the mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Consult a doctor immediately. If possible, show this safety data sheet (SDS). If not possible, show the packaging or label.

Symptoms:

Possible irritation of the mucous membranes and the digestive system, nausea, vomiting.

๐Ÿšจ Immediate Medical Attention Required

Pre-hospital: symptomatic treatment. Contact the Poison Control Centre for further treatment in the hospital.
