Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Verwijder de getroffen persoon van de besmettingsbron. Breng getroffen persoon in de frisse lucht en houdt deze warm en rustig in een positie gemakkelijk voor ademhaling. Zorg dat luchtwegen open blijven. Maak strak zittende kleding los, zoals kraag, stropdas of riem. Bewusteloos slachtoffer op de zij in de stabiele zijligging leggen en zorgen dat ademhaling kan plaatsvinden.
Symptoms: Slaperigheid, duizeligheid, desoriëntatie, draaierigheid. Hoofdpijn. Misselijkheid, overgeven.

Symptoms: Langdurig contact kan een droge huid veroorzaken.

Chemisch resistente, ondoordringbare handschoenen, die aan een goedgekeurde norm voldoen, moeten gedragen worden als een risicoanalyse aangeeft dat huidcontact mogelijk is. Om handen te beschermen tegen chemicaliën, moeten handschoenen voldoen aan de Europese Standaard EN374. Frequente wisselingen worden aanbevolen. Het wordt aanbevolen dat handschoenen van het volgende materiaal zijn gemaakt: Laminaat van polyethyleen en ethyleen vinyl alcohol (PE/EVOH). De geselecteerde handschoenen moeten een doorbraaktijd van minstens 8 uur hebben. Polyvinylalcohol (PVA). De geselecteerde handschoenen moeten een doorbraaktijd van minstens 0.75 uur hebben. De meest geschikte handschoen dient te worden gekozen in overleg met de handschoen leverancier/fabrikant, die informatie over de doorbraaktijd van het handschoenmateriaal kan geven. Opgemerkt wordt dat vloeistof door de handschoenen heen kan dringen.
Draag goed aansluitende chemische spatdichte zuurbril of een gelaatsscherm. Persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen voor oog- en gezichtsbescherming moeten voldoen aan de Europese norm EN166.
Indien ventilatie onvoldoende is dient geschikte adembescherming te worden gedragen. Adembescherming moet gebruikt worden als de besmetting in de lucht hoger is dan de aanbevolen beroepsmatige blootstellingsgrenswaarde.
Draag antistatische beschermende kleding als er een risico van ontsteking door statische elektriciteit is. Draag geschikte kleding om besmetting van de huid te voorkomen.
Verpakking goed gesloten houden wanneer niet in gebruik.
