Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Bij inademen het slachtoffer in de frisse lucht brengen. Slachtoffer warm en rustig houden. Als de patint niet ademt, onregelmatig ademt, of als zich een ademhalingsstilstand voordoet, dient kunstmatige beademing of zuurstof te worden toegediend door getraind personeel. Dit kan gevaarlijk zijn voor degene die mond-opmondbeademing toepast. Roep medische hulp in wanneer schadelijke effecten voor de gezondheid aanhouden of ernstig zijn. Plaats in stabiele zijligging en roep onmiddelijk medische hulp in, indien de persoon bewusteloos is. Zorg dat luchtwegen vrij blijven. Maak strakzittende kleding los, zoals een overhemdboord, das, riem of ceintuur.
Bij aanraking met de huid onmiddellijk grondig spoelen met zeep en veel water. Verontreinigde kleding en schoenen uittrekken. Medische hulp inroepen als aandoeningen merkbaar worden. Verontreinigde kleding wassen voor hergebruik. Schoenen grondig reinigen alvorens opnieuw te gebruiken.
Spoel de ogen onmiddellijk met ruime hoeveelheden water, waarbij u de boven- en onderoogleden zo nu en dan oplicht. Voorzover eenvoudig te doen, eventuele contactlenzen uit nemen. Blijf ten minste 10 minuten spoelen. Zorg voor medische hulp als er symptomen ontstaan.
Bij inslikken, mond met water spoelen (alleen als de persoon bij bewustzijn is). Slachtoffer in de frisse lucht brengen. Slachtoffer warm en rustig houden. Als het slachtoffer bij kennis is, het volgende laten drinken: Kleine hoeveelheden water geven. Stop hiermee als het slachtoffer misselijk wordt, omdat overgeven gevaarlijk kan zijn. Niet laten braken, tenzij hiertoe opdracht gegeven is door medische zorgverleners. Indien de persoon moet braken, houdt het hoofd dan laag om te voorkomen dat er braaksel in de longen komt. Zorg voor medische hulp als er symptomen ontstaan. Nooit een bewusteloos persoon laten drinken (of eten). Plaats in stabiele zijligging en roep onmiddelijk medische hulp in, indien de persoon bewusteloos is. Maak strakzittende kleding los, zoals een overhemdboord, das, riem of ceintuur.
