Bij langdurig of vaak herhaald contact: handschoenen met een beschermingsklasse 5 of hoger (doorbraaktijd groter dan 240 minuten volgens EN 374). Bij kortstondig contact: handschoenen met een beschermingsklasse 3 of hoger (doorbraaktijd groter dan 60 minuten volgens EN 374).
Draag een veiligheidsbril. Waar contact met de vloeistof waarschijnlijk is, wordt een zuurbril aanbevolen.
In de meeste omstandigheden dient adembescherming niet nodig te zijn. Gebruik echter goedgekeurde adembescherming voorzien van filterbussen als men irritatie van de ademhalingsorganen ervaart. Gebruik in noodgevallen een goedgekeurd persluchtademhalingstoestel (type: overdruk).
