Er moet een goede algehele ventilatie worden aangepast aan de omstandigheden. Gebruik, indien van toepassing, afgesloten procesruimten, plaatselijke afzuiging of andere technische middelen om de concentraties in de lucht onder de aanbevolen blootstellingslimieten te houden. Wanneer er geen blootstellingslimieten zijn vastgesteld, houd dan de concentraties in de lucht op een aanvaardbaar niveau. Ventiliatiesnelheden moeten zijn gebruikt.
Voor incidenteel contact met het product chemisch-resistente handschoenen dragen (standaard EN 374). Het gebruik van wegwerphandschoenen is aanvaardbaar mits ze onmiddellijk worden vervangen na spatten of morsen. Handschoenen van neopreen zijn aan te bevelen. Geschikte handschoenen kunnen aanbevolen worden door de handschoenenleverancier.
Draag een veiligheidsbril met zij-afscherming (of een veiligheidsbril die geheel op het gezicht aansluit). Gebruik oogbescherming conform EN 166.
Geen persoonlijke adembescherming vereist bij normaal gebruik. Bij ontoereikende ventilatie een geschikte adembescherming dragen. CCR met patroon voor organische damp.
Emissies van ventilatie- of procesapparatuur moet worden gecontroleerd om na te gaan dat zij voldoen aan de vereisten van milieubeschermingswetten. Rookgaswassers, filters of technische aanpassingen aan de procesapparatuur kunnen nodig zijn om de emissies tot aanvaardbaar niveaus te brengen.
