First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Breng in de frisse lucht. Houd de persoon warm en rustig. Als de patint niet ademt, onregelmatig ademt, of als zich ademhalingsstilstand voordoet, dient kunstmatige beademing of zuurstof te worden toegediend door getraind personeel. Dien niets via de mond toe. Bewusteloze personen in stabiele zijligging plaatsen en medische hulp inroepen.
Verwijder verontreinigde kleding en schoenen. Reinig de huid grondig met water en zeep of gebruik een goedgekeurde huidreiniger. Gebruik geen oplosmiddelen of verdunningsmiddelen.
Ga aanwezigheid van contactlenzen na en verwijder ze. Spoel de ogen onmiddellijk met stromend water gedurende tenminste 15 minuten en houd de oogleden daarbij open.
In geval van inslikken onmiddellijk een arts raadplegen en verpakking of etiket tonen. Houd de persoon warm en rustig. Niet tot braken aanzetten.

Zorg voor voldoende ventilatie. Waar dit redelijkerwijs mogelijk is, dient dit te worden uitgevoerd met behulp van plaatselijke afzuiginstallatie. Als deze onvoldoende zijn om concentraties van deeltjes en dampen van oplosmiddelen onder de grens voor beroepsmatige blootstelling te handhaven, dient een geschikt ademhalingsbeschermingsmiddel te worden gedragen.
Beschermende crmes kunnen helpen blootgestelde huid te beschermen. Deze mogen echter niet worden aangebracht nadat blootstelling heeft plaatsgevonden.
Gebruik oogbescherming tegen spatten van vloeistoffen.
Indien werknemers worden blootgesteld aan concentraties boven de blootstellingsgrens, dienen deze een geschikt, gecertificeerd ademhalingstoestel te gebruiken. Droog schuren van een verflaag, of bewerking met (snij)branders en/of lasapparatuur van gecoate objecten, kan schadelijk stof en/of schadelijke dampen veroorzaken. Indien mogelijk moet de voorkeur worden gegeven aan nat schuren. Gebruik een geschikt adembeschermingsmiddel als plaatselijke afzuiging van schadelijk stof of dampen onvoldoende helpt om blootstelling te voorkomen.
Werknemers dienen antistatische kleding te dragen die is gemaakt van natuurlijke vezels of van hittebestendige synthetische vezels.
Niet laten weglopen in het riool of waterlopen.
