Als het stof in het ademshalingsgebied van de werker niet onder controle kan worden gehouden door ventilatiesystemen, dienen de werkers respiratoren of stofmaskers te dragen die goedgekeurd zijn door NIOSH/MSHA, EU CEN of vergelijkbare goedkeuringsorganisaties om ze te beschermen tegen in de lucht gekomen stof.
Droog product irriteert de intacte huid normaal gesproken niet. Dit product kan echter irritatie veroorzaken als de huid beschadigd is en na langdurige blootstelling in de aanwezigheid van vucht. Onder zulke omstandigheden is kleding met lange mouwen aanbevolen om huidcontact te beperken.
