Technische maatregelen en geschikte werkprocedures zouden prioriteit moeten hebben boven het gebruik van persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen. Zie paragraaf 7.1.
Voor volledig contact: Handschoenenmateriaal: Natuurlijk latex, Handschoendikte: 0,6 mm, doorbraaktijd: > 480 min. Voor spatcontact: Handschoenenmateriaal: Nitrilrubber, Handschoendikte: 0,11 mm, doorbraaktijd: > 480 min. De te gebruiken beschermende handschoenen moeten voldoen aan de specificaties van EG regeling 89/686/EEG en de daaruit voortkomende norm EN374, bij voorbeeld KCL 706 Lapren (volledig contact), KCL 741 Dermatril L (spat contact). De bovengenoemde doorbraak tijden, werden met materiaalproeven van de aanbevolen handschoenen door KCL in laboratoriummetingen vlgs. EN374 onderzocht.
