First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Na inademen: frisse lucht. Direct een arts waarschuwen. Bij ademstilstand: Meteen mechanische beademing, eventueel zuurstof toedienen.
Verontreinigde kleding onmiddellijk uittrekken. Huid met water afspoelen/ afdouchen. Onmiddellijk een arts waarschuwen.
Na oog contact: uitspoelen met ruim voldoende water. Oogarts raadplegen. Contactlenzen uitnemen.
Bij inslikken: overbrengen in de frisse lucht. Laat het slachtoffer ethanol (bijvoorbeeld een glas van een 40% alcoholische drank) drinken. Onmiddellijk een arts oproepen (meld het inslikken van methanol). Alleen in uitzonderlijke gevallen, als gen medische hulp beschikbaar kan zijn binnen een uur, braken opwekken (alleen bij slachtoffers die bij volledig bewustzijn blijken) en laat het slachtoffer weer ethanol drinken (ongeveer 0, 3 ml van een 40 % alcoholische drank per kg lichaamsgewicht per uur).
