Voor goede ventilatie/afzuiging op de werkplaatsen zorgen. Niet spuiten in de richting van een vlam of een gloeiend voorwerp. Onstekingsbronnen op afstand houden - niet roken. Maatregelen treffen tegen ontlading van statische elektriciteit. Houder onder druk. Beschermen tegen de zon en niet blootstellen aan een hogere temperatuur dan 50°C, bijv. door gloeilampen. Ook na gebruik niet doorboren of verbranden.
Op een koele plaats bewaren. De overheidsbepalingen m.b.t. de opslag van drukgaspakkingen moeten in acht genomen worden. Koel en droog bewaren in goed gesloten vaten. Tegen hitte en directe zonnestralen beschermen.
