Schuim, Verneveld water. Droog chemisch poeder, koolstofdioxide, zand of aarde mag enkel worden gebruikt voor kleine branden.

Geen sterke waterstraal gebruiken.

Dampen zijn zwaarder dan lucht en verspreiden zich over de grond. Ontsteking vanop afstand is mogelijk. Drijft op het water en kan opnieuw worden ontstoken.
