First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Na inhalatie: frisse lucht.
Eerstehulpbehandeling met calciumgluconaatpasta. Verontreinigde kleding onmiddellijk uittrekken. Huid met water afspoelen/afdouchen.
Na oog contact: uitspoelen met ruim voldoende water. Contactlenzen uitnemen. Oogarts raadplegen.
Na inslikken: slachtoffer onmiddellijk water laten drinken (niet meer dan twee glazen). Een arts raadplegen. Absorptie van fluorionen in geval van opname door de mond kan worden voorkomen door melk, calciumcarbonaattabletten om op te kauwen of magnesiumoxide toe te dienen aan slachtoffers die bij bewustzijn zijn.
Immediate Medical Attention
Brandwonden veroorzaakt door fluorwaterstofzuur (HF) vereisen onmiddellijke en specialistische eerste hulp en medische behandeling.
Medical Treatment
De behandeling moet zowel gericht zijn op het binden van de fluorionen als op de effecten van de blootstelling. Bij ernstiger blootstelling van de huid kan onderhuidse toediening van calciumgluconaat nodig zijn, behalve rond vingers, tenzij de arts ervaring met deze techniek heeft. Er moet worden gelet op aandoeningen zoals hypocalciëmie, hypomagnesiëmie en hartaritmie.
