Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
In geval van inademing in grote hoeveelheden, de patiënt in de open lucht brengen en warm en rustig houden. Als het slachtoffer buiten bewustzijn is, hem in de stabiele zijligging leggen. In elk geval een arts waarschuwen om te beslissen over een bewaking en een symptomatische behandeling in een ziekenhuis. Indien de ademhaling onregelmatig of gestopt is, kunstmatige ademhaling toepassen en een arts ontbieden.
Overvloedig reinigen met proper en zacht water gedurende 15 minuten terwijl de oogleden geopend zijn. Indien er pijn, roodheid plekken of gezichtshinder optreden, een oogarts raadplegen.
Na inslikken van kleine hoeveelheden (niet meer dan een slok), de mond met water uitspoelen en een arts raadplegen. Rustig houden. Niet laten braken. Een arts raadplegen en hem het etiket laten zien. Bij toevallige inname een arts raadplegen om te beslissen over een bewaking en een latere behandeling in een ziekenhuis, indien nodig. Het etiket tonen.

Exposure Controls / PPE

Zorgen voor een goede ventilatie, vooral in gesloten ruimtes.
Gebruik geschikte beschermende handschoenen die bestand zijn tegen chemische stoffen en voldoen aan de norm EN ISO 374-1. De handschoenen moeten worden gekozen volgens de toepassing en de gebruiksduur op de werkplek. Aanbevolen type handschoenen: Butylrubber (Copolymeer isobutyleen-isopreen). Aanbevolen kenmerken: Waterdichte handschoenen volgens de norm EN ISO 374-2.
Gebruik oogbeschermingen, ontworpen tegen het spatten van vloeistoffen. Voor het hanteren moet een veiligheidsbril met zijbescherming worden opgezet die voldoet aan de norm EN166. Bij groter gevaar moet een gezichtsmasker worden gebruikt om het gezicht te beschermen. Het dragen van een corrigerende bril vormt geen bescherming. Het wordt dragers van contactlenzen aangeraden om een bril te gebruiken bij werkzaamheden waar zij kunnen worden blootgesteld aan irriterende dampen.
Inademen van dampen voorkomen. Indien de ventilatie onvoldoende is, moet een geschikt ademhalingsapparaat gedragen worden. Als de arbeiders te maken krijgen met concentraties die de blootstellingsgrenzen overschrijden moeten ze een geschikte en goedgekeurd ademhalingsbeschermingsmiddel dragen. Filter(s) tegen gas en dampen (gecombineerde filters) volgens de norm EN14387: A1 (Bruin).
Het personeel dient regelmatig gewassen werkkleding te dragen. Na contact met het product moeten alle besmette lichaamsdelen gewassen worden.
