Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

Engineering Controls

Keep airborne concentration of product low by enclosing production processes whenever possible.

Hand Protection

Wear protective gloves tested to relevant standards (e.g. Europe: EN374, US: F739, As/NZA: 2161). Suitability and durability of a glove is dependent on usage, e.g. frequency and duration of contact, chemical resistance of glove material, glove thickness, dexterity, and specific local conditions. Always seek advice from glove suppliers. Contaminated gloves should be replaced. For prolonged contact, gloves with at least 0.7 mm In thickness and breakthrough time of more than 480 minutes are recommended. For short-term contact, gloves with at least 0.4 mm in thickness and breakthrough time of more than 30 minutes are recommended. Recommended glove material includes butyl rubber, fluorocarbon rubber, nitrile rubber, chloroprene rubber or neoprene.

Eye Protection

Wear face shield. An eyewash and safety shower should be readily available.

Respiratory Protection

Work in well ventilated area. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable breathing apparatus.

Skin/Body Protection

Special clothing is not normally necessary when manufacturing or handling this product within a closed system. Wear chemical resistant full body coveralls whenever there is a possibility of splash or appreciable contact during manufacturing or handling.
