First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

remove the person affected from the area of exposure, provide clean air and keep at rest. Request medical attention if symptoms persist.

Skin contact

remove contaminated clothes and shoes, rinse the skin or if necessary shower the affected person thoroughly with cold water and neutral soap. In case of serious reaction consult a doctor.

Eye contact

Rinse eyes thoroughly with lukewarm water for at least 15 minutes. Do not allow the person affected to rub or close their eyes. If the injured person uses contact lenses, these should be removed unless they are stuck to the eyes, in which case this could cause further damage. In all cases, after cleaning, a doctor should be consulted as quickly as possible with the SDS of the product.

Ingestion

Do not induce vomiting, but if it does happen keep the head down to avoid aspiration. Keep the person affected at rest. Rinse out the mouth and throat, as they may have been affected during ingestion.

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Hands

NON-disposable chemical protective gloves complying with EN 374-1:2003, EN 374-3:2003/AC:2006, EN 420:2003+A1:2009. Glove materials include butylrubber, nitrile rubber, natural rubber, PVC. Breakthrough time 480 min, material thickness 0,7 mm. The Breakthrough Time indicated by the manufacturer must exceed the period during which the product is being used. Do not use protective creams after the product has come into contact with skin. The resistance of the glove material must be checked prior to application.

Eyes

Panoramic glasses against splash/projections, complying with EN 166:2001 and EN ISO 4007:2018. Clean daily and disinfect periodically according to the manufacturers instructions. Use if there is a risk of splashing.

Respiratory

Respiratory protection is necessary if a mist forms or if the occupational exposure limits are exceeded. In short-term exposure, during spraying, use disposable respirator against fog. For prolonged exposure, during spraying, use NO-P3 respirator with gas filter.

Skin/Body

Work clothing. Replace before any evidence of deterioration. For periods of prolonged exposure to the product for professional/industrial users, CE III is recommended, in accordance with the regulations in EN ISO 6529:2013, EN ISO 6530:2005, EN ISO 13688:2013, EN 464:1994.

Environmental

Avoid environmental spillage of both the product and its container, in accordance with community legislation for the protection of the environment.
