After manufacturing, this refractory may have a Pyrokote surface treatment applied to enhance surface hardness and non-wetting properties. This treatment has been fully cured and fired, and poses no physical hazard or health risk to employees under conditions of normal use.
Notes
Some components contained in this product can be emitted as airborne contaminants (dust) under certain processing conditions such as cutting, sawing, grinding, milling, machining, etc. If the cured / cast product is worked, it may result in a low level release of dust and respirable fibers. Inhalation of dust and fibers must be avoided. Always use indicated respiratory protection (see Section 8) if the product is worked and/or in case of product release (dust). No machining is anticipated.
First Aid Measures
Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents
Not a normal route of exposure. Consult a physician if necessary.
Wash off with soap and water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Flush eyes with water as a precaution. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
