Composition / Information on Ingredients

Chemical components, concentration ranges, and hazardous substance identification

Type Mixture

The other ingredients in the product are either considered non-hazardous or are below their respective GHS cut-off values/concentration limits in the final product and were therefore not disclosed in the SDS.

Chemical Name CAS Number Concentration Hazardous
Talca EC: 238-877-9 14807-96-6 4.24% No
Crystalline silica (quartz) EC: 238-878-4 14808-60-7 0.04% Yes

Notes

This SDS was prepared under the assumption that the polymers contained in the mixtures HYDRIPRINT 604 and HYDRIPRINT 243 LV, and the ingredient styrene acrylic resin solution contained within the mixture, Hydricryl 132 are present in the final product as fully reacted/cured, high-molecular weight, and highly stable polymers with negligible residual monomers present (<0.1%).

First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

No specific first aid measures are required. If exposed to excessive levels of material in the air, move the exposed person to fresh air. Seek medical attention if in doubt.

Symptoms: Inhalation route of exposure is not anticipated with intended use.

Skin contact

No specific first aid measures are required. If irritation occurs, wash with plenty of water and soap. Take off contaminated clothing. If skin irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

Symptoms: Irritation, skin irritation persists.

Eye contact

No specific first aid measures are required. As a precaution, remove contact lenses, if worn, and immediately flush eyes with water. Seek medical attention if in doubt.

Ingestion

No specific first aid measures are required. Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical attention if in doubt.

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

No special requirements under ordinary conditions of use and with adequate ventilation. Mechanical ventilation or local exhaust ventilation may be required.

Hands

Use good industrial hygiene practices to avoid skin contact. If contact with the material may occur, wear chemically protective gloves.

Eyes

If contact is likely, safety glasses with side shields are recommended.

Respiratory

Under normal conditions of use, respirator is not usually required. Use appropriate respiratory protection if exposure to dust particles, mist or vapors is likely. Consult with an industrial hygienist to determine the appropriate respiratory protection for your specific use of this material. A respiratory protection program compliant with all applicable regulations must be followed whenever workplace conditions require the use of a respirator.

Skin/Body

Gloves, coveralls, apron, boots as necessary to minimize contact. Do not wear rings, watches or similar apparel that could entrap the material.
