Emergency First Aid Measures

Critical first aid procedures for chemical exposure incidents and medical emergencies

๐Ÿซ Inhalation Exposure

Remove to fresh air, seek medical advice.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Skin Contact

Wash off with plenty of water. Dab with polyethylene glycol 400. Remove contaminated clothing. Immediately call in physician.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Contact

Rinse out with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes with the eyelid held wide open. lmmediately call an ophtalmologist.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Ingestion/Swallowing

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Make victim drink water (two glasses at most), avoid vomiting (risk of perforation!). lmmediately call in physician. Do not attempt to neutralize.

๐Ÿšจ Immediate Medical Attention Required

Seek medical advice after inhalation. Immediately call in physician after skin contact or ingestion. Immediately call an ophtalmologist after eye contact.

Exposure Controls & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and required safety equipment

๐Ÿญ Engineering Controls

Protective clothing should be selected specificlly for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.

๐Ÿงค Hand Protection

Required.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Eye Protection

Required.

๐Ÿ˜ท Respiratory Protection

Required when vapours/aerosols are generated. The entrepeneur has to ensure that maintenance, cleaning and testing of respiratory protective devices are carried out according to the instructions of the producer. These measures have to be properly documented.

๐Ÿฆบ Skin/Body Protection

Required.

๐ŸŒ Environmental Exposure Controls

Do not allow to enter sewerage system; risk of explosion!
