08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Hands

Protective gloves. The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product / the substance / the preparation. Check the permeability prior to each renewed use of the glove. Material of gloves: Butyl rubber, BR. Nitrile rubber, NBR. The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed. Change gloves if notice sign of disenchantment.

Eyes

Tightly sealed safety glasses.

Respiratory

In case of dizzling-dust breathing protection is required. Recommended filter device for short term use: Filter P 2. Take care of limitations and rules for the use of breathing protection equipment (BGR 190).

Skin/Body

Standard protective clothing. Chemical resistant safety-shoes or boots. If skin contact is possible, wear impenetrable protective clothing against this solvent.
