Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Technical measures and the application of suitable work processes have priority over personal protection equipment. Generation/formation of aerosols: Devices with local exhaust / Technical ventilation of workplace

Hands

Tested protective gloves must be worn (EN ISO 374). Suitable material: NBR (Nitrile rubber) Thickness of the glove material: 0,4 mm Breakthrough time :: 480 min The statement is derived from the properties of the main components. The suitability of the glove material for the handling of the product has not been verified. For special purposes, it is recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together with the supplier of these gloves. The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. Check leak tightness/impermeability prior to use. In the case of wanting to use the gloves again, clean them before taking off and air them well. Recommendation: Draw up and observe skin protection programme.

Eyes

Eye glasses with side protection (EN 166).

Respiratory

Usually no personal respirative protection necessary. Provide adequate ventilation. Wear breathing apparatus if exposed to vapours/dusts/aerosols. Combination filtering device, Filtering device (full mask or mouthpiece) with filter: P2

Skin/Body

Wear suitable protective clothing.
