First Aid Measures

Emergency procedures for chemical exposure incidents

Inhalation

Remove victim to fresh air. Get medical attention if symptoms persist.

Skin contact

Wash skin with soap and water after handling.

Eye contact

Flush eyes with water, holding the eyelids apart. Get medical attention if irritation persists

Ingestion

If small quantities are swallowed, rinse out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious or drowsy person. If large amounts are swallowed or if irritation or discomfort occurs, get medical attention.

Immediate Medical Attention

Get medical attention if irritation persists (eyes), if symptoms persist (inhalation), or if large amounts are swallowed or if irritation or discomfort occurs (ingestion).

Medical Treatment

No immediate treatment is normally required.

05

Firefighting Measures

Extinguishing media, specific hazards, and firefighter protection

Suitable media

Use any media that is suitable for the surrounding fire..

Specific hazards

Not classified as flammable but product will burn under fire conditions. High concentrations of organic dusts in the air may present a fire or explosion hazard.

Instructions

Determine the need to evacuate or isolate the area according to your local emergency plan. Use water spray to keep fire exposed containers cool.

Firefighter Protection

Self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing should be worn in fighting large fires involving chemicals.

06

Accidental Release Measures

Spill cleanup procedures, containment, and environmental protection

Environmental

Prevent entry in storm sewers and waterways.

Cleanup methods

Collect in a manner that minimizes the creation of airborne dust.

07

Handling and Storage

Safe handling precautions, storage conditions, and workplace requirements

Handling

Avoid contact with eye, skin and clothing. Avoid breathing dust. Use with adequate ventilation.

Storage

Protect containers from physical damage. Store in a cool area. Keep containers closed when not in use.

08

Exposure Controls / PPE

Occupational exposure limits, engineering controls, and protective equipment

Engineering

Use with adequate general or local exhaust ventilation to minimize exposure levels.

Hands

None normally required.

Eyes

Follow facility requirements.

Respiratory

None should be needed for normal use. If the exposure levels are excessive and irritation is experienced, use an approved respirator with dust cartridges. Select in accordance with OSHA 1910.134 or other applicable regulations and good Industrial Hygiene practice.

Skin/Body

None normally required.
